shanavy while I fully agree with you that the city should be held accountable for these long-neglected issues, you have to understand that the city government is run by lib.eral demo.crats. Words like "accountability" and "responsibility" just doesn't exist in their vocabulary. The only way this will change is if we vote them out of power and elect some responsible con.servatives to clean up Oakland. We have to drain the swamp that is our city government. If we keep electing them and voting them into power, these problems will just continue getting worse. Look at how much damage they've done to Oakland for the past few decades. Back when Oakland was run by rep.ublicans it didn't have any of these problems. Oakland used to be a beautiful, clean and safe city. Then the demo.crats took over and systematically destroyed it, leaving behind a post-apocalyptic urban wasteland in their wake.
