That's very generous of you to offer! They are city owned lots and my thought is they need to be maintained by them. I'm definitely not opposed to a community cleanup though... I just contacted another non profit that rehabs vacant houses regarding the status of the properties. I think if you own, you should maintain. Let me know what works.

In an ideal world, that philosophy would hold up. For the sake of the neighborhood I have no problem helping out. I am busy next Saturday, so I will try to tend to the area before work next week. With trash and littering, that will require constant attention, so we can probably arrange a monthly cleanup moving forward. Build some pride in our neighborhood.

Saw N Fixed, bagged 13 bags of leaves and left by curb. Bagged trash and put some in the trash can, I brought another bag of trash with me as there was no room in the trash can. I contacted PW to pickup the bags, in my experience they have always been responsive when I notify them.

I didn't see a mattress. I'm trying to figure out what dept. Does what. I think Public Works only does the streets and curb. Transportation Sidewalks, since it impedes right of way, and vacant lots LCI. Since it was by the fence, someone probably came out and said, it's LCI's problem. Either way, it goes to PW in the end. There needs to be some more cooperation between these depts.
