This pile stated out with 2 tires which has ballooned to at least 16. There are 3 loose tires as you continue up Walnut St. I really hope that cameras could be installed to catch the people that are dumping & constantly littering this strip. Smoked Neck Bones, a regular citizen, spent several days of his own time cleaning up this strip. It is apparent that the people that live across from this are doing nothing to help keep it clean. It is discouraging and disheartening to see someone's efforts to clean up this mess ignored.
I totally agree with you Angelika. There needs to be strong public enforcement done (and cameras might help!) to set the tone that this is not acceptable in New Haven.
Thanks, Angie. Neckbones was on a much needed vacation but I'll be back in Gotham soon. I spoke to some nearby tire shops, it only cost $2-$3 per tire to dispose of them so if they are still there upon my return, I'll remove them
SmokedNeckbones, I'm going to try to get them removed before you get back. You have a very noble heart and are very civic minded. I certainly don't want a bunch of punks getting the better of any responsible citizen. I don't want you to pay anything for the tire removal. Let me see what I can do.
