I see two problems here. 1. The crosswalk sign is blocked by the utility pole. 2. There are none of the required crosswalk markers posted in the media .

The field service crew has repaired the issue.

What has been repaired? The crosswalk remains exactly the same and continues to be unsafe. At a minimum, the faded skinny bollards in the median should be replaced to the new 'State Law Yield to Pedestrians within Crosswalk' bollards that are standard now. The crosswalk paint could also use a painting.

This issue will be ignored until someone is killed trying to cross here. Cars along Oberlin do not stop for this crosswalk, which is heavily used by people crossing to go to Jaycee Park.

A work order has been written to have the "State Law Yield to Pedestrian" signs installed in the median island. We will also address any issues with the existing signage.

Any updates on this? It's been nearly 5 months and still the promised signs have not been installed. I realize that COVID might have delayed this, however the last update promising the new signs and addressing issues with existing signs was promised over a month before covid affected NC.
