According to Public Works, they inspected the sidewalk & it looks like the property owner is responsible for fixing it. That is why a letter is being sent to the property owner. It will probably not get fixed until the property owner does something. I would take it up with the property owner.
Would you explain why the property owner would be responsible for the public sidewalk?
Additionally, this does not address the adjacent house, for which a separate complaint was disregarded at 523 Norton Parkway. Just today, a visitor caught her foot on a crack and may have sprained her ankle. She certainly was in a lot of pain.

I spoke with owners and they didn't receive any letter. They are under the impression that the side walk is the responsibility of the city. Can you please provide guidance on who's responsible for what?
I've been dealing with the same thing for the past 2 years between the City of New Haven and park and rec my sidewalk was raised over five and a half in on both sides my insurance company said they're going to drop me if the sidewalk wasn't fixed so I had to call again City and Parc and Rec to come and fix my sidewalk finally they sent somebody out to Sandy but it's so thin now it has holes in it is still uneven and the guy who was there to see and it says the tree must come out the tree is also broken up my driveway and it it cost me $100 a year to get the roots out of my dream from this tree it's a shame the city is taking its time and now I only have 23 days before my insurance drops me
This is really upsetting. My kid keeps on getting tripped up. It's not right! The city has to fix this asap. If it takes me calling 3 times a day, and using my team of 20 employees to call about this I will. NH CITY, FIX THIS PROBLEM NOW!
