Description
A homeless encampment has been in Dimond Park, right off of El Centro just before Hanley, just off the path leading to the pool/playground. There is litter and human defacation in this area that is heavily used by kids. This is both a safety issue for the kids, so close to the play structure area of Dimond Park, as well as a health issue with the human waste and litter by the creek where the children play and wade. This area has continuously attracted tents in recent years. Is there a way the city can put big boulders in that small flat space where tents keep cropping up off of that trail to keep more tents from continuously returning there? It seems as soon as tents are removed, new ones simply move in soon after. It seems this problem could be more permanantly addressed in a way that naturally complements the space with several heavy boulders in that space...
