Description
Request installation of traffic calming (painted curb extension & vertical delineators) at both SE and NE corners of Gifford/West Side Avenue intersection, to slow turning vehicles and direct them to turn at the center of the street, rather than cutting close to the corner curb, so that they have better visibility of pedestrians crossing here.

Perhaps in the meantime, there could be a police sting where a ped attempts to cross to see if car drivers will yield? (Spoiler alert: they will not)
