A road diet has been applied to Wake Forest Road from existing four lanes to three lanes, including a center turn lane. The roadway will also include bike lanes. Currently, there is only temporary pavement markings. Once the repaving is completed, permanent pavement markings will be installed including the bike lanes. This should help better delineate the lanes. Wake Forest Road will not have two southbound lanes south of Capital Blvd. We are looking into the bottleneck at Brookside drive.
