Collection of recyclables from the blue bins has become slightly more stringent. Department of Public Works has been disseminating the information about "What's in and what's out"; however there are still some residents who haven't heard the news. Basically, the folks who collect our recyclables are looking inside each blue bin to make sure everything is good to go. If there is trash which should not be included in the blue bin, they aren't taking it. I've noticed the biggest difference is plastic bags. If they see plastic bags in the blue bin, the won't take it.
