I agree with this comment. Usually, signs are not put up to announce that sweeping will occur soon on these streets. So these busy streets have many parked cars on sweeping days, and the sweeping trucks just circle around them, leaving all the litter between the cars and the sidewalk. It is truly disgusting and gross, and the drains get covered by the trash as well. I've never liked "tag and tow"--it seems extreme, is rarely enforced in our neighborhood, and the result is that the garbage is left between the parked cars and the curb by the sweeping trucks. It really isn't working now, because nobody is tagged or towed, sweeping is sporadic and irregular, and unannounced, and as a result the streets are very poorly cleaned. These streets should have regular, consistent sweeping days that everyone knows about and can therefore make alternative plans for parking.
