Mural on north side of building does not fit the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings, including the Roswell Historic Cottage. Are there “sign guidelines” that prevent large graffiti type art in Historic Roswell.

We have lived on Wood Place for 2 1/2 years and are long time Roswell residents. In fact my family moved to Roswell in 1966, so I understand more than most the growing and changing in our community. My concern is the walkability of Canton street is becoming very dangerous especially at night with speeding cars and low visibility at the crosswalks. I have personally been nearly missed by speeding cars and also witness cars not stopping for pedestrians daily. I would really feel much safer for all involved if we could have crosswalk signs with blinking lights to alert cars when a pedestrian has pushed a button to cross the street. Canton street is not meant to be a speedway for commuters and I feel that this crosswalk system would go a long way to alleviating that problem. I would hate to see anyone hurt or killed and I think the city really needs to address the problem.

I am reporting 430 Roswell Farms rd for extremely overgrown yard and obstructed driveway, as per Ordinance code Section 8.8.2. and Section 8.8.3.
His small amount of grass is usually trimmed, but has a great deal of large and overgrown and unkempt plants all over his lawn, and obscuring his entire driveway. This owner has had repeated problems with keeping his plants on his side, as well as being an eye sore for the neighborhood. His house is the only house like this.

Used Imports Auto is parking cars on the vacant property at 426 South Atlanta St. on a continuous basis. The attached picture was taken on May 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM.

Behind EVERY restaurant that backs up to the East Alley, there is trash, dirty mops, towels, cigarette butts and old discards items. It is such a disgrace given the amount of money the city has spent to beautify that area. The owners need to be held accountable to clean up behind their businesses or put up some kind of barrier so that it blocks the view of the items/trash cans etc. There is also a broken water meter cover that needs to be repaired.

Mailboxes obstructing paved shoulder/bike lane. This location is in a curve, causing cyclists to take the lane in a dangerous area because motorists cross the center line to pass where they cannot see oncoming traffic. Looking at USPS guidelines it appears the closest part of the mailbox should be located 6"-8"" from the curb of the road. These are located with 0: of clearance and appear to be in violation of that recommendation.https://www.usps.com/manage/mailboxes.htm

Behind Roux, 1920 and Mac McGhee's is disgusting! This is only one picture of the trash and debris behind these establishments. There is also a ton of beer caps, cigarette butts and also rats that roam there. The rats were too fast to get a picture of.

There are 3 main issues regarding the traffic on Myrtle Street:

1. UPS uses Myrtle Street as the main route once they leave and return to the main location. Starting around 9:20 in the morning, there are between 35-45 UPS trucks that use this street. the return times vary. I would like to see if we can find an alternate route for them as I believe Myrtle Street is not a truck route.
2. The speed limit is rarely followed. Cars who use our street are very often exceeding the speed limit. I would like to have speed limit/traffic calming equipment put on the street as part of the regular Roswell rotation.
3. In addition to UPS, there are many other freight trucks that use our street. Mostly they are very large (sometimes 18-wheeler), very loud, and very heavy.

For the purpose of discussion, I'd like to have more information about the rebuilding of the pavers at the intersection of Norcross and Myrtle St. Myrtle street was closed this Summer so the pavers could be replaced. I understand this work has been done 3 times. I suspect some of this is due to the weight of the trucks who use this street. Regardless of my dissatisfaction with the traffic, as a taxpayer, I'd like to discuss the costs associated with replacing the pavers and more importantly, the reasons why they may need to be replaced so often.

Trash Pick-up- the grounds at City Hall, Cultural Art Center and Library along Forrest St and Norcross are littered with garbage. Need a crew to pickup trash weekly in theses areas. It's an embarrassment to the city.

Property owner has yet to clean up trash that has been on property for two years. Code Enforcement was notified last year (winter 2016-17) and again on 12/28/17. CE responded that 15 day cure letter was sent to property owner but trash remains. Requesting CE begin fining property owner until cleaned up.

Hello, the streets in my neighborhood were re-paved a little while back. There used to be a speed bump that directed rain water away from my driveway but when it was re-paved that was never added back. It has caused many issues: 1) when it rains, a large volume of water comes down my driveway into my garage (this is where my washer/dryer are connected so is a big problem, 2) it has created a large crevice next to my driveway where the water has removed all grass and dirt from the area and now grass doe not grow there at all, 3) it fills the grates next to my driveway with dirt and leaves up to the top every time it rains. I wanted to see if the speed bump could be out back into the street so water did not gush down my driveway every time it rained. The garage flooding is especially an issue with my washer/dryer being in there as the water made it under them last week during the heavy rains. Thank you for your time.
