This CitiBike driver thought that it would be OK for him to drive over the parking bollards that protect pedestrians at the corner and park there while he played with his cellphone.
Considering that our tax dollars have to pay for these to be replaced, it's appropriate that CitiBike should pay for that.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledgedSummit Ave At Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07306, USA - Journal Square
When crossing Newark Ave from the Library to Red Ribbon bake shop, the pedestrian walk signal lights up to cross but traffic at the stop light (cars in the north-facing lane on Summit Ave) get the green light and TURN LEFT onto Newark directly into pedestrians who are in the crosswalk. This has got to be a mistake.
It is tremendously unsafe. After waiting for 5 light cycles at this intersection, can pedestrians get a few seconds to cross without cars flying at us? Please??

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledged17th St & Coles St Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - DowntownHello. This is not my first and probably will not be my last complaint lobbied about this intersection. This intersection is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS for pedestrians, especially with kids and pets, crossing. And where do kids and pets like to go? Across the street into Coles Park. A dog was hit and killed in this area last week. I was nearly struck with my pet twice in the last week. My husband was nearly struck and hit with our dog today because someone sped up towards the flashing lights. I wanted a woman nearly get hit this morning and the driver rolled down his window and cursed at her. THE FLASHING LIGHTS ARE NOT ENOUGH. PLEASE STUDY AND FIX THIS INTERSECTION. I do not want to go outside just assuming it's only a matter of time until me and my dog are hit and injured or worse.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledged68-80 Sip Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareThere is a signalized intersection on Sip Avenue at the access road to the Journal Square Bus Station. The crosswalk at the western side of the intersection across Sip Avenue is missing. In addition, there is a temporary ramp up to the curb made of asphalt, but it is frequently blocked by parked vehicles. This is one of the main areas of pedestrian access to the bus terminal, and is busy with pedestrian traffic. As a crosswalk is missing and pedestrians frequently need to enter the street around parked cars, it feels very unsafe crossing here, like an accident waiting to happen. At a minimum, the crosswalk should be repainted, and the curb access should be restricted so that cars do not park blocking the crosswalk and ramp.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsAcknowledgedBowers St & Cambridge Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The HeightsI saw that the garage on central got approved and it mentioned that the entrance and exit will be on Cambridge
A prek-8 school is on the next block (Cambridge and bowers) and I'm concerned about how this will increase traffic next to a school that almost everyone walks to in the neighborhood including our youngest residents and kids who walk on their own to school
I am requesting how to make bowers and Cambridge safe for pedestrians but also a holistic understanding of how that whole area will be impacted by the increased traffic on Cambridge (including additional crossing guards), -

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledgedSteuben St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
I am writing to address the high risk intersection of Steuben St and Warren St. As a frequent pedestrian at this location, I'm concerned about the safety, and accessibility for the large number of pedestrians that move through this intersection daily. I believe the following issues should be addressed:
- Visibility is compromised by parked cars along Warren St, posing risks to pedestrians crossing the road.
- High-speed vehicular traffic on Warren St further endangers pedestrians. I regularly see vehicles traveling at excessive speed in an attempt to make the yellow light on Columbus.Given the need to improve safety while having a minimal impact on through traffic, I would like to propose the following solutions:
- Implementation of a raised pedestrian crosswalk (speed table crosswalk) to slow down traffic and enhance pedestrian safety.
- Consideration of appropriate warning signals, or stop signs.I urge you to prioritize this matter and take decisive steps to improve pedestrian safety at this critical intersection.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

Speed Hump RequestAcknowledgedJersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Liberty ParkSince the bridge opened to Liberty State Park, this stretch of road has become a spot for speeding. Seeing that this is a particularly busy pedestrian/cycling access road to the park, can some sort of speed check/speed hump/etc. be added before and/or after the bridge?

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledged7th St & Manila Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownDelivery trucks for the police department park on the sidewalk because we don’t have proper loading zones. Having huge trucks driving on the sidewalk is obviously a massive safety risk for pedestrians.
