  • 371 2nd St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - Downtown
Drivers are consistently driving down 2nd Street at dangerous speeds and ignoring the Stop sign.
  • 345 Baldwin Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
Need very urgent a light in Baldwin and Washburn. The cars never stop here, totally not fair that I need to wait every time until a car decide to Stop This is a safety concern. I always need to run so a car don't hit me. I understand before it wasn't a crowded street but not is becoming a more busy street and the city needs to fix this. Thank you!
  • 334–340 Bramhall Ave Jersey City NJ 07304, United States - Bergen-Lafayette
Thank you for all the work that has been already completed in the Layfayette area! There are still a few very dangerous corners. The intersection of Bramhall and Pacific is nearly impossible. There is zero visibility when making a turn from Bramhall onto Pacific (either direction) or from Pacific (onto Bramhall) as cars are parked right up to the corners. You have to literally drive into the intersection slowly to even see if a car is coming and they are going at high speeds. There should be either a light, curb extensions or some sort of delineator to protect people turning or even pedestrians trying to cross to go to Berry Lane Park.
  • 461 Newark Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
Another major accident at this deeply unsafe section of newark avenue. Everything about this hill tells drivers "speed up." We need serious traffic calming measures to make them slow down. It's a lot better than it used to be, but this stretch has a ways to go before it's actually safe for pedestrians, not to mention an actually pleasant and useful urban space.
  • Christopher Columbus Dr & Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
For driving south on Jersey Avenue at the Christopher Columbus Drive intersection, there is a desperate need for a left turn traffic light. There is a day care at 532 Jersey Avenue so there are a lot of parents dropping off their children on Jersey Avenue. And Jersey Avenue is a very busy road. When drivers are going south on Jersey Avenue and want to turn left on Christopher Columbus Drive there are too many cars going straight from the opposite direction (driving north on Jersey Avenue) so the drivers trying to turn left are stuck and usually have to try to force their way in. This is very dangerous and I have already seen numerous almost accidents. And, often times there are parents and children crossing Christopher Columbus Drive that almost get hit because the driver on Jersey Avenue trying to turn left is trying to rush to make it before the next car going straight reaches them. It is a very dangerous intersection and I think it needs a left turn signal.
  • 112 Mcadoo Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07305, USA - Greenville
This is the retaining wall in my backyard ! This is just a part of the wall that's crumbling ! The road behind my house (Highview Road ) and my yard is right in front of 30 Highview Road which is now being repaved and I'm sure it's only going to make the wall crumble more !
  • 63 Sherman Pl Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The intersection of Sherman Place and Summit is perilous for pedestrians because cars race between the traffic lights at Manhattan and Hutton Streets. Drivers rarely stop for us when trying to cross, even when holding the hands of our children. There was yet another accident on Saturday when a car driving from Manhattan Ave to Hutton hit a car that was trying to make a left onto Summit — which is never easy. We need this intersection to become a 3-way Stop. The city added signs to stop for pedestrians a couple of years ago but the cars knocked them over and they were removed. It’s dangerous and unfair. I’ve lived her for 18 years and it only gets worse.
  • 18th St & Coles St Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown

The intersection at 18th and Coles has a stop sign for traffic headed west on 18th street. There are three problems at this intersection.

    1. Westbound traffic on 18th frequently ignores the stop sign, often making the assumption that northbound traffic on Coles will be turning right, to head eastbound on 18th (therefore not causing a conflict). This presents a potential for collision when northbound traffic on Coles intends to continue northbound.

    2. There is a separate turnout lane for westbound traffic on 18th to head north on Coles. There is no control mechanism for this merging traffic; there should be a STOP sign.

    3. There is no parking signage along the curb of the aforementioned turnout, which results in cars essentially parked along the curb of an intersection.

  • 479 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ 07310, USA - The Waterfront
Traffic heading south on Washington Bl and turning right (west) on 6th st/Thomas Gagnon. Cars routinely ignore pedestrians and just drive through. Other drivers make this into a two lane turn, refusing to wait and pull out and around a waiting car. It's the most scary intersection on Washington Blvd
  • Hampton Ct Ter & Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Stop signs needed at Jersey & Wayne.

It's impossible to see beyond parked cars when attempting to cross jersey avenue on Wayne Street. There is a stop sign at mercer and there needs to be another at wayne. cars aggressively accelerate and you basically have to creep out into the middle of the road before you can see if it's safe to continue

  • 100-448 Hudson St Jersey City, NJ, 07311, USA - The Waterfront

Cars repeatedly go the wrong way on the way one portion of Hudson Street (North bound) between Hardborside Pl and Christopher Columbus Dr. The location is after pedestrians have crossed the Light Rail tracks when heading towards the entrance to the Harborside Building.

There should be additional signage when Hudson St splits into two one way streets to better direct drivers and perhaps pedestrian safety measures put in place.

I have seen cars going the wrong way three times within the past month.

  • 18th Street Pocket Park 837 Jersey Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07310, USA - Downtown
Every morning cars coming from Hoboken make a right turn onto 18th during the red light without even slowing down. I have been almost hit multiple times while crossing on the north side with the walk sign.
