  • 837 Jersey Avenue Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Picture attached show la vehicle totaled after driver crossed double yellow as explained above
  • 7th St & Manila Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Delivery trucks for the police department park on the sidewalk because we don’t have proper loading zones. Having huge trucks driving on the sidewalk is obviously a massive safety risk for pedestrians.
  • Steuben St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

I am writing to address the high risk intersection of Steuben St and Warren St. As a frequent pedestrian at this location, I'm concerned about the safety, and accessibility for the large number of pedestrians that move through this intersection daily. I believe the following issues should be addressed:

    - Visibility is compromised by parked cars along Warren St, posing risks to pedestrians crossing the road.
    - High-speed vehicular traffic on Warren St further endangers pedestrians. I regularly see vehicles traveling at excessive speed in an attempt to make the yellow light on Columbus.

Given the need to improve safety while having a minimal impact on through traffic, I would like to propose the following solutions:

    - Implementation of a raised pedestrian crosswalk (speed table crosswalk) to slow down traffic and enhance pedestrian safety.
    - Consideration of appropriate warning signals, or stop signs.

I urge you to prioritize this matter and take decisive steps to improve pedestrian safety at this critical intersection.

Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

  • 371 2nd St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - Downtown
Drivers are consistently driving down 2nd Street at dangerous speeds and ignoring the Stop sign.
  • Pavonia Ave & Summit Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
intersection of pavonia and summit needs either a light for each direction of pavonia or a turn lane/turn signal
  • Mallory Ave & Pollock Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07305, USA - West Side

They are speeding every night. And they also speed late at night waking us up from our sleep.

Second, the sport auto body shop on Mallory Ave and Pollock ave, they parkt their customer cars on the bicycle lane, and sometimes they even double parking on Mallory Ave. It blocks my sight when I am driving, especially when I make a turn. they park their customer cars everywhere on the street, giving the residents a hard time to find a parking at all times.

I think we need some signs such as quiet zone sign and permit parking for the area around Mallory Ave. the city must have come up with any law or rule about the auto shop that parks their customer cars on street all day and even overnight. that is affecting the residents' lives. or at least out permit parking sign around here so we can have parking when we get home from work or on our day off.

and please they are speeding everyday no matter it's day or night.

  • Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Liberty Park
Since the bridge opened to Liberty State Park, this stretch of road has become a spot for speeding. Seeing that this is a particularly busy pedestrian/cycling access road to the park, can some sort of speed check/speed hump/etc. be added before and/or after the bridge?
  • 373 Monmouth St Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown

The Monmouth Ave redesign added three parking spots instead of adding a loading zone. Now delivery trucks just double park blocking the right lane. This causes congestion and tons of noise from honking as cars make an unexpected lane merge from 2 down to 1.

Make those spots a loading zone.

  • 18th St & Grove St Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown
This intersection is regularly blocked by congestion (overflow from the poor flow of traffic through the intersection of Newark and Grove Street that is technically hoboken) causing pedestrian safety issues due to poor visibility. Can a traffic study help? Painting lines to “not block the box”? Other?
  • St Pauls Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
Can the city consider making these pedestrian "refuges" physical (concrete, not paint)? It's not much "refuge" when drivers continually drive over and stop on them
  • 74 Jefferson Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - The Heights
Cars frequently block this fire hydrant. Can delineators be installed to ensure access to the hydrant?
  • Congress St & Webster Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The stretch from Webster to Central on Congress St has no stop signs As a result, many drivers speed up Congress St (past a day care, and past crossings that access two schools and a major park) We need to control traffic on Congress St and make it safer for residents There are also crashes at these intersections frequently because it's difficult to see oncoming traffic if you need to cross Cambridge, Sherman or Hancock
