Description
(CC to State Rep Owens, State Sen. Jehlen, US Rep. Clark [Civil Rights, ADA]) Car parked on crosswalk, on ADA ramp, in MBTA bus stop, at curb extension, at an intersection. Turns, traffic, and safety are negatively impacted. There are right now open legal residential and unrestricted parking spaces. The exact area has signage for no parking already. Legal Calling for ticket enforcement is ineffective and inefficient. Why doesn’t this bus stop have the enhanced roadway markings “Bus Stop” as EVERY bus stop on Mass Ave in North Cambridge does? Pylons are an idea to consider here. Other ideas, Painting “$100 Fine” on pole the holds the electric bus lines, also adding vertical signs to bus stop pole shafts can be added. The City used this type sign elsewhere in Cambridge.
