Deskripsyon

There is currently a yield sign at this intersection for those heading NNE on 126 who want to go right on Old Connecticut Path. However, many cars do not yield at this intersection. I see this almost every day when I take this route going to work by the fact that I turn left from Concord St. onto Old Connecticut Path. I have almost been hit multiple times, but I end up having to stop short. Please either add a second yield sign further south on 126 or just move the current one back so that people know to yield when making this turn. It is too dangerous otherwise. I did not take a picture.

There are currently two YIELD signs in this location. The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices recommends that STOP and YIELD signs should not be placed farther than 50 feet from the edge of pavement of the intersecting roadway. The sign that if furthest south from the intersection is already over 100 feet from the intersection in question. An additional YIELD sign further south would not be recommended and should not be installed.

Thank you. Is there any way to request that police enforce this yield more? I have had many near misses, and I end up yielding a lot to people who don't pay attention to this.

You can contact the Framingham Police Department at (508) 872-1212 and asked to be transferred to the Traffic Safety Division. They will be able to address the issue of police enforcement.

Called the Framingham Police Department. They said they are sending someone out there to observe. Interestingly, after I informed the officer, he informed me that he lived in the area for 10 years and he hasn't seen one violation of the sign. I replied that Oh, I guess I've only lived here for one year, but I've several violations.

Ok, I exaggerated a little. The only people who are going to notice this problem are the ones taking a left onto OCP, as you take this left (with a green light) you basically merge onto what for all intents and purposes is rt 126. Most of these cars don't even slow down as they blow through the yield sign at 30-40 mph!
Try taking the left, you take your life in your hands if you trust the oncoming cars to yield!!

if you are talking about the one in near stop and shop, people go through it more than they stop, lived here 25 years......you were right to complain.
