Description

On weekdays there is a line of parked cars bumper to bumper starting at Sachem Street, most of whom work at the Yale residential colleges or Yale Health. We see them come in the morning, most with Zone 7 VISITOR TAGS, and walk to work. The city has not shown the willingness or ability to keep visitor tags from being used fraudulently, and this means that those of us who live here still have trouble parking. P.S. we STILL never got an answer about how it is possible for residents to use a resident sticker for a car which is parked all year long on Mansfield Street, but which is registered out of state (Colorado), for 4-plus years (paying lower out of state insurance, of course)? The law requires the car to be registered and paying taxes and insurance in CT.
