I was unable to find another "pin" demarcation on the SCF map that corresponds with this open issue.

This IS issue 4708000!!!

Edge City the corrupt and dysfunctional government of Oakland hired an amateur contractor to build their internal issue tracker and interface with SeeClickFix. Like all Oakland government contractors, they did an incredibly sloppy job. As a result, the issues in their internal tracker and issues on this site have separate IDs, and when we re-open them they create a new issue in their tracker even though it's the same issue in seeclickfix. This is just one of the many different symptoms of Oakland's severe, deep-rooted dysfunction, incompetence and corruption

Given the huge volume of reports and actions required, it's understandable that the system has flaws.
In theory, this could be a great collaborative tool to report city maintenance issues.

We can easily find SCF issues with an issue number, but I am not able to search the SCF database with just the Service Request (SR) ID number.

It would be helpful for the users/reporters to be able to find an issue by searching with just a Service Request ID, especially when multiple issues are combined under one SR number.

If, however, there is a way to find an open/acknowledged issue with just the Service Request number, and I haven't figured it out, please enlighten me. Thanks.

The service request numbers are specific to Oakland's internal issue tracker, a piece of software they had some amateur build for them to integrate with SCF. Both SCF and Oakland's internal issue tracker are very poorly coded software (I say this as a software engineer with 20+ years of experience). The only way you'll be able to search by those is using Google dorks, and that's assuming the site allows google to index it for searching. You can search with the request number and add the google dork "site:seeclickfix.com"

(There are City of Oakland public works vehicles parked on the street on the next block so I'm sure they addressed other neighborhood issues, but not this one.)

Closing an issue implies that there was an acceptable resolution and the city's involvement is finished.

Please do not close this issue until the problem is resolved and this sidewalk is clear.

I respectfully suggest that the best way for this issue to be properly addressed and acknowledged would be for the city to add this line item:

"East 12th Street between 47th Ave. and 48th Ave."

to the official "Homeless Encampment Clean-up Schedule."
