This issue is keeping for long time .i called so many time to district manager ,by the way he never available , them 2 polices car always parking on parking lot Poblanita restaurant on chapel st . They seems like relaxing and killing their time

You call the police it takes them over 3 hrs to come for a call, these nasty things are having sex doing drugs in back of Fair Haven middle school. They get picked up and dropped off on my street. A guy was actually shooting one of the prostitutes up right in front of my house. But we’re told not to say anything to them but this is where we live. I bust my @#$% everyday going to work to come home to this. The police tell you to move, they don’t care because they don’t live here and neither does Toni......

We do call the police it takes them over 2 hrs to come, they tell you to move because they don’t care they do not live here and neither does Toni... the prostitution is getting so bad they are doing it in Fair Haven middle school property, behind the dumpsters and the big black gate in the back. They are also shooting up and using it a public restroom. Why is no one helping us. I feel like we’re living in a @#$% land. We go to work all day to come home to this......

I understand how upsetting this issue is for your neighborhood. I suggest you call the police in person. Tell your neighbors when they see this sort of behavior get everyone to call in . Multiple complaints should get more attention. Do you have a block watch ? You can request an officer to come to one of your meetings so the whole neighborhood can voice their concerns en masse. Invite your alder as well. If you do not get a response, the neighborhood will know they need a new alder to represent their wishes. Hopefully the police will respond favorably to your requests when you are face to face. If you do not have a block watch, get info on how to start one. Get an officer to help start your first meeting off. You can meet at someone's house or outside in a public place. It is work,but you have to expend some effort to get others to support you. You are obviously a neighborhood that cares about where they live.
These are just my suggestions and/or observations based on what I have read here. Good Luck to you all. Together you are more than the sum of the parts.

There has been around 16 comments but not one from a city official. As I posted before not all city departments monitor this site. As far as getting the city's attention about this horrible situation posting on this site is not working. I would like to suggest that the alder Kenneth Riveiz 203 999-0205 is called about this situation, the calls should not stop until something is done. I would like the add the police who said to people move should be reported to the alder.

This is an old ongoing problem on Chapel, Ferry street and on the corner of Blatchley Avenue and Clay street right across the Police substation, it make you wonder why they allow this. We need the police to do something about it even if the girls are out the next day, maybe after 20 times being booked and let go they will move out of fair haven.

I hope Jose Crespo helps you. It takes a village to take care of this problem. Have a neighborhood meeting to voice your concerns to him.. The more of you that show up the better. If you do not get help, call the local news stations & newspapers about what is going on. Start embarrassing the people in power who are not helping you.

Sorry to say, I don't see it happening. These alderman see it all happening and haven't done anything about it. They will only claim to do things while running; once elected most of them just sit back with the title.

I've called the police, by time they show up the drug transactions are done or the John's have left with the prostitute. We need constant undercover raids to clean the area up
