  well, lets do protest next to city hall, because this is ridiculous!!!! That is happening in RESIDENTIAL area in front of people houses, who paying tenth of thousands in tax and being ignored by our city officials!!!!

  As you can see on this photo, she damaging someone LEGALLY parked car with stolen carts from multiple stores like home depot etc. That is all illegal and crime and risk for us all. We have stolen packaged from our porches all the time as well.

  The city officials have tried to be compassionate to the point of ridiculousness. Letting people set up tents and motorhomes wherever they choose is not helping anyone. Not even the homeless. Oakland looks worse on a daily basis. The city workers cannot keep up with the ever expanding piles of garbage. It’s got to change. I think the city needs to re think their policy and perhaps make areas where these people can set up. That way the garbage and waste are confined to certain areas. But also help can get to them more easily. It’s a freakin mess and it’s got to change.

  Chester well put. It is evident the majority of these street people refuse to be in shelters or to transition into real housing. So find a large fenced lot for the tents, motorhomes and tweeker forts. They can put social services, liquor store/market, bank and a pharmacy for all various addictions all there in one place. Just get them off the streets and out of the parks.
