Description
A few weeks ago we received a notice that the streets and sidewalks would be done. The workers on the street had no respect at all for other people's properties. Cleaning their tools in driveway ( we had a dumpster in our yard they threw consteuction debris inside) they did the concrete work in the rain and duct taped tarps to people's porches. They cut up our driveway and broke our fence. ( When I asked them who was going to fix it they stated it wasn't us) I stated I have you on camera . They told me they would have a owner call me it never happen. It's been 1 month now my driveway is still cut up. Drains sticking up thought the street cones everywhere. They now use wyeth street as a parking lot for their equipment even know they have not worked here in 3 weeks. Who is fixing my driveway??? And I have no sidewalk in front of my house so why did they even tear my driveway up?????

So myself and 4 other home owners on Wyeth st met with Ray at HSI inc. we all stated the problems we have occured during this Road work. First was a window that had a window well for water that was taken up and redone by HSI. Ray stated it was not done right but still better then what was there. The next neighbor stated his driveway was torn up then put back with no underlayment . He stated the last company didn't put underlayment when they did the driveway so why should they. Then the third neighbor came out and they stated that HSI pitched all the water towards their house and removed their patio blocks. He stated they stopped street water from going to the driveway and the patio wasn't new anyways. Then I started my complaint they ripped my fence have trash on the street. They tore up my driveway and there is a 2+ inch lip at every access point on the street making parking handicap accessible almost impossible. Ray stated Wyeth st does not need to be handicap accessible that's not a "code" when I asked about the raised pipes my driveway the accessibility and the trash he got back in his car and told everyone that we are just complaining and will never be happy no matter what is done and drove away

I've had yet another meeting with a different engineer from yesterday and Mr lip. This meeting went worse then the last. We started the meeting off at the porter potty that smells like death that has been sitting blocking the sidewalk making pedestrian's walk around it. I asked if we can have it removed and they stated it's not theirs. I then stated I'll have it removed . I was then told I'd have the police called on me. We got further into the porter potty situation and it finally came out that the porter potty is not there's but it's to costly to move it ( my company works with thrown Depot daily it's free to be moved) after explaining it's free they then stated it's a construction site and they are legally allowed to have it. I stated this is not a construction site and what would happen if someone walks around the porter potty and is struck by a car. Mr lip stated hopefully the car has insurance because it will be the cars fault. We then walked around the corner to the trash that Charles construction stores on the street daily. I said kids have been playing on this trash and we would like it removed. It is trash there is no need for it. He said that they may use it somewhere. I then asked if it would be used on this street he stated no. We asked if it could be fences off while you figure out where it would be going. He stated it's too expensive. I answered saftey should always be budgeted. The engineer said he would need to disagree. We then walked down the street looking at the entrances to the sidewalks. We explained that no one with a wheel chair can get on the sidewalks can you please add a small ramp ( as they do to every single inlet to a curb in every city) they stated it's fine until we do the streets. I then said should someone in a wheel chair learn to walk until then? They had no comment but said it wouldn't be fixed. We then discussed pour workmanship on people's properties properties such as a patio was removed for a neighbors house and the engineer stated there was never a patio there. The homeowner was not home at today's meeting but we assured the engineer there was. The engineer then said the patio prob wasn't that nice. I explain your right it was a older patio and wasn't that great but it was her patio and that's not their call on how nice or important it is to them. We then moved to my driveway along with my neighbors. They tore our driveway up for no apparent reason ( it must have needed to come up ) with out any notification or permissions. I then stated it was put back incorrectly. The engineer stated I'm not a engineer so don't go there. I told him I am a csl holder and more then qualified to know how it's put down. He stated that there was a underlayment put down and if there wasn't then there was no underlayment before . We then discussed in detail of what is considered a underlayment and the number one absolute thing you don't want to do is install ashfault on disturbed dirt in this case they installed it on mud as they did it in the rain. We then got into more detail about man hole covers pitching driveways back towards our houses ext they had no answers. They installed a window well incorrectly and stated it was wrong before . Whom ever is designing Wyeth st and or doing the work on Wyeth st is clearly not qualified and we stated this in our discussion. I then stated the work is clearly not going to be done correctly and we are not going to have the best looking streets in America but we shouldnt suck with a unsafe conditions. They both stated they are only unsafe until we are done. I asked when will it be done and they do not know. I've asked them to please be mindful of saftey and Mr lip said we will talk when it's done. Apparently saftey isn't on his mind.
