All the city needs to do when we submit a SCF is CLICK ‘ACKNOWLEDGED’ ... that’s all. Just let us know you have received our issue. Is that too much to ask? When the city ignores or does not acknowledge a SCF report, it isn’t much different than the city not answering the phone after they told us to call them to report an issue. Don’t tell us to report an issue on SCF if you can’t be bothered to just click ‘acknowledge’ and let us know “we hear you, we got your request.” I mean, you don’t even have to do it the same-day. Just once a week, is that too much to ask? Maybe every Monday morning, go through the list and click ‘acknowledge’ to all the reports that came in over the past week. Just let your us know we are being heard. We want to make our city a better place to live, but man is it frustrating when you tell us to do something (“please report it on SCF”), but then you just ignore us.

I agree with what you are saying. If a department cannot at the very least acknowledge the request, maybe they need another job. This is an election year. I know who I will not be voting for. I hope if others agree, they will weigh in.

Glad I’m not alone, Angelika. Not getting an “acknowledged” makes me feel like I wasted my time in submitting a SCF. Will make me think twice about reporting issues in the future.

The fact that we care & are trying to do something positive is half the battle. You are not alone. Unfortunately there are not enough of us . If you want action, you must take action. Do not go into that good night with all the apathy out there. We are better than that.
