Why was this issue closed within 5 minutes of being reported?

This problem still exists.

this is a problem. they are smoking, drinking and defecating at the picnic bench that city employees eat lunch at. the police department has been notified many times and refuses to enforce the law!

This is how I start every day. I sit at my desk at 7:00 am to enjoy breakfast before i start my day. I look out my office window at the City Hall Homeless Encampment and watch them take their morning dumps right next to the picnic table that we used to eat lunch at. In the afternoon they sit there drinking alcohol.

Why don't the police do anything about this? Isn't defecated in public illegal? Isn't drinking in public illegal? Isn't littering illegal?

The Cops don't care!

It is absolutely unacceptable for Alameda city officials to turn a blind eye to this disgusting behavior!
