That's my point. The MLS shows this as being for sale, but first there were the trucks parked out back and now a new set of used cars for sale. No one should be allowed to open a new business here without getting that building back into reasonable condition. I'm sick of driving by this dump every day. I got a letter from the town threatening me with fines when I was stripping my roof years ago and had a small pile of shingles for one day before the dumpster arrived. This place has been held up mainly by the paint for about the last 30 years. I'm guessing this wouldn't be allowed in Spring Glen or Mount Carmel.

There was a cease and desist business notice posted on the building. Now there are cars for sale again? I reported the blight in August in particular the impassable sidewalk. Nothing was done. This town seems to have zero interest in enforcing blight regulations.

I hope not. There was a see-click-fix a few months ago about THEIR blocking the sidewalk with their cars, which they are still doing.

I filed the complaint about the car dealer at Dixwell and Treadwell. They fixed that.

There's a notice on the front window that the people from Dynamic Auto 2 are under contract to buy the place. They did a nice job fixing up their place across the street when they opened over there, so I'm hoping the same will happen at Custom Auto Top. It gets a little cluttered with cars, but they do keep it pretty cleaned up over there.

If only they would buy the old Mauro Motors nearby!

Plus, I noticed that the car dealer (same owner?) at Dixwell and Treadwell now has cars on the "tree lawn" space between the sidewalk and the curb. Not good!

WTF! WHY IS THIS STILL LIKE THIS? THIS BUILDING IS IN EVEN WORSE CONDITION THAN BEFORE! THE ONLY THING THE NEW OWNERS HAVE DONE IS PRY THE "CUSTOM AUTO TOP" LETTERS OFF THE SIGN.

It's gotten to where it looks like if you just pushed on the side of the building it would just fall over.
