Sidewalk Archived242 Pearl St Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricPearl St Beverage currently has the entire sidewalk blocked on both Pearl & Union, without the proper detour signage in place. Also clear if there is an encumbrance permit in place. This is an ADA violation & a safety issue.

Traffic/Street Signs: Report Problem Archived161 North Ave Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricWest side of North Ave at award St, RRFB, pole, solar panel, crosswalk signage, etc knocked off its base by a plow, either last night or this morning. The entire unit looks pretty much intact, would be really good to get it either removed or repaired ASAP before it gets destroyed.

Traffic/Street Signs: Report Problem ArchivedPark St & Vt-127 Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThere were recently two radar activated street signs installed here, facing Southbound traffic, one on the 127 before Manhattan, one on Park St after Manhattan. Both stopped working shortly after they were installed. Not sure if they're battery operated or solar, but they're currently not functional or displaying any speed data.

69 Spring St Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Something needs to be done about the parking situation in the drop off loop. This morning there were 5 cars parked in spots that aren’t parking spots, almost completely blocking the whole loop so traffic was backed up out into the street, blocking the crosswalks. I’m not sure if these are staff cars or parents but either way, this isn’t acceptable or safe & it defeats the purpose of having a drop off loop.
BSD facilities needs to update signage now that the dumpsters have moved, and needs to paint lines for the actual designated parking spots.

Transportation and Parking Improvement Request Acknowledged131 North Ave Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricCrosswalk on North Ave at Strong lacks sufficient sight lines on west side due to parked cars. Needs “no parking” area at least one spot north, and potentially south as well (not sure if driveway provides sufficient distance for sight lines). Driveway is also not ADA compliant.

North Ave & Ward St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricNew crosswalk at Ward on North Ave is awesome, but the one parking spot on the west side, immediately north of the crosswalk, needs to be removed so pedestrians are visible to southbound traffic. Standard daylighting rules should apply to parking spaces adjacent to a crosswalk.

Transportation and Parking Improvement Request AcknowledgedN Champlain St & Manhattan Dr Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricCrosswalk on Manhattan at N. Champlain lacks pedestrian signals. This should be updated to include signals with a leading pedestrian interval, just like the one a block to the west at Park St. There should also be a "no turn on red" sign/signal during the pedestrian phase to keep the sidewalk clear of northbound traffic turning right onto Manhattan.

Parks Department issue ArchivedRailway Ln Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricOn the section of the Waterfront Greenway just along the beach club and to the south of there, it looks like the rail company did a bunch of tree/shrub trimming which caused all their trimmings to fall into the bike path side of the fence. It is already super narrow through this section because of the construction at the old Blodgett building & needs to be cleaned up before it causes a collision.

Other Archived361 Pearl St Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricCenter line striping (yellow) was not repainted this spring. Not just here, but all over the city. White lines were repainted, but yellow lines were not. Pine St is also quite bad. Did the contractor just not finish all the long line painting?

Other Archived150 Cherry St Burlington 05401 United States - Burlington ElectricCity issued an encumbrance permit to New Moon that allows them to block access to almost this entire bike rack, making it unusable. Please move the rack to a better location & also reverse the installation so it is accessible from the street. Bikes are not allowed on sidewalks downtown & current configuration is difficult to access for many users.

145 Cherry St Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricPlease move this rack to a better location where access isn’t blocked by a tree & cafe seating. It is difficult to access & underutilized. It would also be very helpful if it was reversed so bikes could be loaded from the street side. Bikes are not allowed on sidewalks downtown & the current configuration requires a user to get their bike up onto the sidewalk, back down into the rack, and then reverse this process which is a challenge for many folks.

"NO" dogs on beach signage? Archived136 Northshore Dr Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
On the stairs that access the Northshore beach, North of Starr Farm on the bike path, it used to say "No dogs on beach" and there was an additional sign before the stairs. The sign is now missing, and the "no" has been sanded off.
Can someone from Parks or the City please clarify? Are dogs allowed on this beach, or not? It is unclear if the policy has changed, or if this was vandalized.
