  I have lived on Canon Ave for 23 years This intersection needs to have traffic engineer reconfigure all the timing. We also need traffic enforcement for all the very impatient red light runners as well.

  Many years ago this multi-way intersection was upgraded from fixed timing to sensor-based timing, which was a big improvement. My impression is that it needs tweaking - red lights for no apparent reason now seem to occur more frequently and last longer than in years past. In particular, it seems the lights that permits traffic from Canon Ave and E.38th St. into MacArthur stay red longer than necessary. I second the motion that a traffic study/engineer take a look.

  Also if Hwy 580 is backed during the evening commute all most no one coming down east bound MacArthur stops at the red. Making almost impossible to get on to MacArthur from Excelsior, E 38th and Canon Ave. Maybe a few calls to PWD Bureau Of Engineering & Construction, Right of Way management 238-3651 would help.
