60 Forest Avenue Ext Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
There is no speed limit posted on Forest Avenue Ext. Therefore the speed limit reverts back to that of the MA statute for unmarked streets which would be 30MPH for this road. The road is 1/8 of a mile and has a sharp 90 turn at the end. It would be very hard to get up to 30 MPH, but people tend to drive at an unsafe speed. There are many children in this neighborhood. Additionally, people tend to use this as a cut through from Warren Road to Walnut Street during rush hour.
Can you please perform a speed study and determine what the appropriate speed for this road shall be. It doesn't make sense that Warren Road has a lower speed limit than Forest Ave Ext.
20 Irving Street Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamThere is a constant loitering issue at the end of Irving and Hollis Street. Today there was over 15-20 people just hanging out with open drinking. Not to mention most are doped up on Heroine! When is the police going to put a stop to it?! It’s been going on for far too long, time to clean it up!!!
81-83 Warren Rd Framingham, MA 01702, USA - FraminghamCan you please monitor the speed on Warren Ave. People tend to speed down this road at a much higher rate of speed than is posted. (Especially Motorcyclists) Seeing that a school is nearby this could pose a serious threat to the children.

115 Grant Street Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamPeople are parking illegally on the wrong side of the street daily. On an already busy street it is making it more dangerous for residents and for people driving down the street as it decreases the road size.
1-57 Nicholas Road Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamIt is absolutely absurd that Framingham is allowing a traveling zoo to be set up in a PARKING LOT of a somewhat bust plaza. My concern is for the welfare of these poor animals. The conditions are deplorable and I am incredibly upset that a town that prides itself on being green and animal friendly would allow this "zoo" to be set up in a parking lot or even at all. The people running it clearly have no compassion for these animals as they were left out ALL NIGHT on concrete in a THUNDERSTORM. It truly is enough to make me move away of Framingham. It horrible and disgusting ... CAMELS should not be sitting on the side of the road in some crappy tent on concrete. Absolutely terrible, I expect more and better from Framingham and I sincerely hope that those poor animals make there way to a sanctuary and no longer part of a horrible roadside "zoo." I never want to see anything like that again. EVER.
78 Nicholas Rd Framingham 01701 United States - FraminghamI am a resident of one of the town homes on Nicholas Road in Framingham. 78A-B. We live across from an apartment complex. There is ample parking in the complex. They consistently park on the street in front of our homes. We have asked them to not park there but they will not listen. They block our view to get out. Our mailman won’t deliver to us. We have problems getting our trash picked up because they block our spots to put it. With their apartment comes plenty of parking. This is getting to be absurd. We need help because we are not sure what to do.
Haynes Framingham, MA - FraminghamThis driver almost killed me and my child as he/she was speeding down Haynes not stopping at all and driving into oncoming traffic into Central. There was a car stopped at Fenwick an oncoming car coming from Central and myself driving part Simpson Park on Central. I had to slam my breaks to avoid a collision as I was going the speed limit of 35. This driver is dangerous and will no doubt kill someone with the way they drive, so careless for life or safety. They continued at a high rate of speed down Central and sped through the Stop sign at Edgell as well then tailgated the driver into the next street.
The residents recently wanted an extra sign put up on Fenwick and I have to say missing death this morning it's only because they want to do what this driver did. Put up a stop sign on Haynes so this guy can't kill anyone. I thank God I wasn't two second earlier at the point or I would be dead along with my child.
14 Bryant Rd Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamThe LED Streetlights in Framingham are way too bright. The glare from the exposed bulbs is brighter than many headlights, and the bright ring of light they project on the ground creates patterns of intense light and dark that make it hard to see anything outside the ring of light. If you’ve ever stepped from bright sunshine into a room that seemed completely black, only to find that once inside there is plenty of light, that is what these lights do. For those who walk at night, it is impossible to watch for wildlife (skunks, coyotes, raccoons) in yards adjacent to the sidewalk, and the overhead glare makes it uncomfortable to look straight ahead, much less upward.
The light is not only uneven, but way too bright for adjacent property. My back yard is now lit up like an industrial park, and the light coming in my windows feels like a cheap hotel. Juniper Hill school has a ridiculous amount of light, looking like a scene from a Close Encounters movie. I wonder how this would work for police officers responding to any disturbance there. It seems like police use bright headlights and flashlights to secure an advantage over the bad guys; now when they respond, they will have bright lights shining in their eyes, while being brightly illuminated to anyone wanting to cause trouble.
I have read on the Ameresco site that LED lights are easily dimmable, and on the Framingham site that the project is only partially complete, and that adjustments will be made. If the lights could be adjusted to put out one half to one quarter of the light they are currently putting out, they would be safer, better looking and use much less energy. It is my hope that this is the plan, and that someone in charge already knows the problems and this post is premature. However, if the lights can not be dimmed, or dimmed only a little, I would urge the town to put a brief hold on the deployment of these lights and find a light that will provide more even, less obtrusive light and save even more energy, perhaps even at a lower cost per fixture.
Concord Street At School Street As Well As A Street Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamWhat idiot came up with the idea of installing traffic signals at Concord Street and School Street as well as Concord/A Street? This causes a major traffic havoc. That was STUPID!! Take them down.
111 Speen St. Framingham, Massachusetts - FraminghamHi there-
Generally, I let these things slide, but my issue is becoming more frustrating and my experience on Friday, June 3, 2016, drove me to write.
I work at 111 Speen St. In Framingham. There is a side exit from the parking lot that empties out onto Speen St. across from the TJX parking lot exit to Speen Street. I understand that TJX pays for Police detail to help their employees get out onto Speen St. at the end of the day. However, most days the officer on detail there doesn’t pay any attention to anyone trying to get out of the 111 Speen lot across the way, so often we have to quickly get out when there is a gap, or when the officer is switching the traffic. That right there is sometimes dangerous, but there are few officers that sometimes acknowledge us and help us get out.
This past Friday, I noticed the officer who was on (I did not get his name) was stopping everyone coming out of the 111 lot ahead of me, but I did not know why. When there was a clear gap (It was later so not as busy as 5-530 pm) I pulled out and he stopped me immediately and asked me if I knew that I could be fined 100 dollars for taking a left over the wide lane divider that has the diagonal lines crossing it, that it is illegal for me to take a left turn out of my parking lot. Admittedly, he was rude and full of attitude about it so my response wasn’t very friendly in return. I told him that he is the first officer to ever point that out to me the 10 years I’ve worked here, and he asked me if I “remembered what was in my driving manual”, to which I said was a long time ago. He went on to say that didn’t I see him stop the lady who hit him with her car, and that I should go out the main exit and around the block, which means onto 30 and around to get back to Speen and Old CT. Path. I said, I live on this side of Framingham, why would I do that, it’s a hassle and a lot more traffic. He again mentioned he got hit by a lady and I said “I’m sorry you got hit”. His response was a sarcastic “I’m sure your sorry” as he waved me off. His attitude was disrespectful, so he got no respect from me in return.
I get that people have a bad day, but he was systematically stopping and pulling over people and disrupting the flow of traffic to what amounts to harassment for something we have been doing every day without issue (other than taking our lives into our hands). I don’t even care about his attitude or behavior, to me the bigger issue is, why can’t we take a left turn there? Is every officer going to now uphold that rule? We certainly cannot take a left out of the main entrance to the lot because of its angle out onto Speen, and its proximity to the light at route 30. Though I know my bldg will not pay for detail, is it really that hard for the officer on duty to acknowledge us? I’m waiting for the day someone coming out of my lot gets in an accident and your officer is on traffic detail 20 ft away.
I’m sure most the officers won’t have a problem with us taking a left out of the lot like this guy today did, so I would bet we will continue to leave the lot to the left without issue, and hope that the officer from Friday is not on. But they all need to be on the same page.
I’m just asking that someone looks into the matter and clarifies if this is indeed going to be a problem going forward.
Thank you for listening.
