NA - Americana Cove Residents Association PLUS

We are a 55 and up mobile home community Americana Cove. This address 223 Mt. Piney Avenue NE and several other homes on Mt. Piney Avenue NE located here in the community, run along the fence line dividing us and 74th Avenue NE. These homes have extreme flooding due to no drainage for water. It is reported that there was or is a drain on the other side of the fence but it has been eliminated. The resident at on 74th Avenue NE reported that the city took away the drain and the city claims the resident did. This is a very dangerous health issue with all the standing water from heavy rains, mosquitos, etc... and we need the city to help with this serious problem. Americana Cove is located at 7201 1st Street NE. The fence divides our community and the homes along 74th Avenue NE. Americana Cove is a 55 and up mobile home community. The address of 233 Mt. Piney Avenue NE has reported standing water around the home. This is a health issue especially with mosquitos. The Storm & Water Division did do drainage work in August of 2019 along this same area. The ID number for that case was 6445297. I am requesting assistance and investigation of this area. This complaint is in reference to two vehicles located at 555 Freeport Av N. A red vehicle parked facing Northbound in the driveway has been on jackstands and inoperative for approximately 6 months or more. A silver in color impala has been parked facing Weatbound and inoperative for approximately 2-3 months. The resident also has the garbage out for pick up all days a week.

Large section of sidewalk has been missing for months. This is dangerous.

On bike path on eastern side of 1st street northeast within 6600 block, the bike path has a dirt patch which had been torn up several months ago for utility repair. The bike path cement sidewalk has not been repaired and poses a danger to small wheeled vehicles (roller blades, scooters, small bikes etc). Please mark with flashing lights for nighttime visibility and ideally repair cement.

There is a missing section of sidewalk on the east side of 1st St. N. just north of Woodrow Wilson Blvd. NE.
The marker on the ground just south of this spot says NB-0107.
I was skating on this sidewalk on the 13th of March on a sunny, clear day, but the missing section of sidewalk was obscured by the shade from the tree and when I went into the gap I fell hard and was severely injured. This section should be repaired ASAP because it is a safety hazard and until it is repaired, it should be marked with cones or paint to warn people of the hazard.

Ditch along the north side of 70th Ave N b/w 1st and 4th St needs mowing/cleaning.

Crosswalk button on west side does nothing. Crosswalk button on east side lights up only the warning lights on the east side that are facing south, no lights on the west side. Basically the whole system needs to be checked out.

Unlicensed contractor was notified and requested to stop. He ignored the request and continued working.

The turn land markings have deteriorated and are no longer visible at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and 1st Street North. Please repaint them.

Dead fish in channel behind house. I spotted 6 floating.
